Wizz Kids 2006
For an eleventh year, in 2006, the Wizz kids Holiday Club, for those aged 5-11, will be held in the Memorial Hall from 16th to 20th August.
We start at 9:45 on the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and finish at 12:45 each day.
On Sunday we start at 10:30 and finish about 12.
Whilst children are registered and looked after on the first three days, the Team does not take responsibility for the children on the Sunday.
This year the theme is NARNIA so we’ll have a time with Lucy and with Edmund, and with all the other varied characters, and discuss the meaning of their adventures. We may even meet Aslan himself.
We’ll play games on the outside field (unless wet), and do craft-work inside. We’ll watch the puppets and sing and have fun together.
The puppets, Rosie and Wizzy, are much called for by the children.
“Well, blow my old trumpet! Are you lot still here?”
“They’re waiting for my solo.”
“What do you mean ‘solo’ ?”
“It means ‘on my own’. Without you!”
“Don’t you want me here then?”
“You can stay, but KEEP QUIET !”
which, of course, Wizzy did not! The children are divided up into four groups, by age. Each group has its own adult leader and helpers.
